Beat the Monday blues!

Monday. Who decides how these words appear in the dictionary anyway? I thought for sure Monday was a four-letter word! But maybe the bigger question should be is how did a day become so despised? This is one instance when I can say for certain that this general attitude of disgust for a new week was not formed due to social media.

There are two choices that come to mind when considering the matter at hand; kids or those that hate their jobs. Unless it is the magical summer months, Monday means that a kid must go back to early morning rise and shine, unruly rules, and homework. Where adults are concerned, if you are a working stiff giving all you got so “the man” can pad his pockets while you eat Ramen, then its easy to see why you would dread the alarm clock ringing as well.

Is there any hope to change the general attitude of the Monday morning blues? Without a complete psychological overhaul, not likely. But you can ease the transition by planning ahead, getting extra rest on Sunday, and just accepting the fact that one distasteful day out of seven really isn’t all that bad!
